The Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communications advising team welcomes Reid Stavinoha, new adviser for university studies-leadership students. Previously, Stavinoha was a graduate assistant in the department and taught summer courses, and is currently working toward his Ph. D.
“I am looking forward to spending more time with students and working with them to formulate a viable degree plan to fit their career goals,” Stavinoha said.
While advising students, Stavinoha will continue to teach agricultural leadership and development courses.
Stavinoha said he is excited to have the opportunity to work alongside the current advising staff.
An Alvin, TX native, Stavinoha, has a Bachelor of Science in agricultural leadership and development from Texas A&M. As an undergrad he was a member of the Corps of Cadets, Company E-2.
Currently, he is a member of the 12th Man Foundation and President of the Bryan-College Station Quarterback Club. Stavinoha and his wife, Lalena, have three children; Kayla, a junior political science major at Texas A&M, Karly a senior in high school and a first grader Grady.
Future goals for Stavinoha include being an astronaut, Nobel Prize winner, NASCAR points leader and a professional gardener. Stop by his office, 270 AGLS, to say hello!
