ALEC Faculty Attend AAAE Conference

Several ALEC faculty members attended the American Association for Agricultural Education’s 2015 national conference in San Antonio, Texas. ALEC Attends AAAE Southern Region Conference

By: Patricia Ward The ALEC Department shined bright at the American Association for Agricultural Education Southern Region Conference in Atlanta, Georgia in February. Doc@Distance Students Come to Texas A&M

Established as the first of its kind in 2000, Doc@Distance is a joint program between Texas A&M’s Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communications and Texas Tech’s Department of Agricultural Education and Communications. AAAE Meets in Kona, Hawaii for Western Conference

By: Patricia Ward This year the  American Association for Agriculture Education Western Conference was held in Kona, Hawaii. The Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communications Department were represented by faculty and students. Associate Professor Lori Moore, Ph.D., was elected to an eight-year term of service as an officer of the Western Region of AAAE. She begins her service as Secretary. AAAE Awards

By: Meagan Brown Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications Department faculty and staff were acknowledged at the annual American Association for Agricultural Education conference in Salt Lake City, Utah this May. ALEC Department Head, Jack Elliot, Ph.D., received the Outstanding Agricultural Educator Award for his exceptional career as an educator. Associate Head for Graduate Programs, Tim Murphy, Ph.D. was recognized for serving as AAAE president for the 2013-2014 year. ALEC Hosts Agricultural Education Conference

By Caitlin Powers The Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communications at Texas A&M hosted the Southern Region Conference of the American Association for Agricultural Education in Dallas, Texas. Held in conjunction with the Southern Association of Agricultural Scientists annual meeting, the SR-AAAE conference is an opportunity for faculty and staff in agricultural education across the country to connect and share ideas. Rayfield recognized for Outstanding Achievement

By: Caitlin Powers ALEC faculty traveled to the American Association for Agricultural Education’s annual national conference in Columbus, OH in May. ALEC Representatives Recognized for Scholarship, Research at Conference
