Namibia Study Abroad 2015

Africa is more than thundering herds of wildlife and safari trucks. The continent boasts more than one billion people over 50 diverse countries. This summer 14 students were immersed in the culture of Namibia. Situated on the southwest coast of the continent, Namibia has a surface area similar to Texas and an environment just as diverse. ALEC Students Win Big in AGLS Study Abroad Photo Contest

Congratulations to the 2014 AGLS Study Abroad Photo Contest Winners: senior agricultural communications and journalism majors Ashley Quindel and Sarah Hope Nail and former ALEC student Hannah Boyer. Mixing Culture and Photojournalism in Namibia 2014

  By: Patricia Ward Located in southwest Africa is the country of Namibia, about the size of Texas, home to rich culture, beautiful scenery and exotic animals. This summer Namibia was the learning ground for 16 students and four instructors. The ALEC department partnered with two universities on this study abroad: Prairie View A&M and the University of Namibia.
